Our School "Kozma Trichkov" is a school with traditions, but also school shifting their focus to the future, a place where new ideas of teachers and students are fulfilled.
For several years the motto "Children teach children" brings together events that expand the horizons of our students and enable them to go beyond the classroom and to connect the target material / special English / with other subjects, as well with the worldwide events.
During the multimedia lesson in English with the teacher Mrs. M. Terziyska and presentations on "Famous People" presented by the students from 7 A class, was made a short presentation about John Lennon by Nancy, who also translated the words of the song" Imagine ", created by the famous talented musician, singer, composer, artist, writer and founder of the famous Liverpool band" The Beatles "/ 08.12.2011 o marks 31 years of his tragic death.
"Imagine" is Lennon’s most popular solo album, released in 1971. Its title song became an unofficial anthem of peace activists around the world. It is the official song of the human rights organization "Amnestiinterenshanal"
After the video of the song there was a discussion about the life and work of the singer and the class used the data obtained for writing a CV in English.
"Life is what happens to you while you're making other plans" - John Lennon said. Throughout his life he lived for peace and love.
Millions follow his ideals today, we hope the graduates of our school to be ones of those followers.

THE KOZMA TRICHKOV SECONDARY SCHOOL IS PREPARING TO CELEBRATE ITS PATRON’S FEST
On the eve of The National Revival Day one of the oldest schools in the city of Vratsa - The Kozma Trichkov Secondary will celebrate its Patron’s Fest. On this occasion the staff gathered, discussed and agreed upon a festive programme to celebrate the great event.
Feverish preparation and a variety of activities are present at school these days.. Solemn class hour dedicated to the patron of the school and The Day Of The National Revival Leaders, will launch the start of the festive week. Amongst the range of initiatives competitions and exhibitions stand out. The new moment of celebration is the torchlight procession of students and teachers from the school, which will start from the Vasil Levski monument and will end at the memorable school building with the laying of wreaths and flowers in front of the patron’s Kozma Trichkov alto relievo.
During all the initiatives the School doors will be wide open for citizens, parents and alumni.
The festive PROGRAMME includes numerous events such as mentioned above, also contest on our school history, essay writing competitions: “ My School” and “Thoughts in front of the Patron’s portrait”.
There will be an art competition; an exhibition – School archives; Students’ drawings –“ My school”; Flowers’ window-dressing too.
Students will compete playing football, basketball, volleyball and riding bicycles.
The festive week will end solemnly with a Sports Fest where the winners will be prized............

Two boys from the 5th A Grade – Stilyan and Plamen are fond of our school – The Kozma Trichkov Secondary – that is why they have chosen it and are proud to study here. On the Eve of The National Revival Day and our school Patron’s Fest they decided to tell other students, their teachers and people from Vratsa what they think and why they like it.

ENGLISH TEST CENTER
In early July an agreement between the "Kozma Trichkov Secondary” inVratza and academic partners - . Greek-American Union, Greek-American University was concluded. The school is designated as an authorized test center in English on Greek-American University of Michigan - Institute of English and Educational Testing Servise for the following exams: BCCE, ALCE, ECCE, ECPE and TOEIC ©. This partnership is in response to growing interest to international certification of proficiency in English from Bulgarian side and will facilitate the administration of written and oral exams in place. It is also recognized and challenge for the school, which is committed to meet the highest educational standards and to maintain a reputation for excellence in teaching and learning of English.
Within the cooperation established, the school will be able to benefit from high-developed curricula and tests in English, in the integration of educational technologies and development of reliable means of evaluation, which will improve the quality of teaching languages and will provide strong competitive advantage over other schools in the region. Teachers of English are ggoing to be supported by organizing participation in seminars, trainings and other events organized by academic partners. Students from the school and other schools also will have the opportunity to participate in written and oral examinations administered by the academic partners.

Our school "Kozma Trichkov" is a Secondary and Municipal one. It houses 471 students distributed in 19 classes
( 5th to 12th grade ). The grades 5-8 follow the ordinary State Programme for education. The grades 9-12 are vocational and students learning special subjects receive degrees in Tourism and Business at the end of their education. According to Ministry of Education policy this programme has replaced The College Of North West London one, which was covered from students in grades 10, 11 and 12. Students having that college diploma along the Bulgarian diploma after that course could practice in all European countries.

All are bearers of the highest Professional Degrees and every ear attend retraining seminars in Bulgaria and abroad to master their abilities and to learn novelties. All these are put immediately into practice and our students are happy to learn in a modern, computerized environment.

The history of our school is connected with the development of education in our city. It is the first school built special facilities for special needs' children some years ago and accepted such students who are educated along with others in ordinary classes. It is build with the help of the great Bulgarian and patriot from Vratsa Kozma Trichkov, and is one of the architectural reserves in our city now. The school still keeps the tradition to be an elite institution, educating future leaders and officials to take their place in the public sphere of our society especially our community.

Our facilities help us educate students in a modern and innovative way. We have 2 multimedia rooms with interactive boards; 2 very well equipped computer rooms; a school hall; a special facility for disabled students; sports and fitness gym, also biology and chemistry laboratories and a libhrary. Classrooms are bright, spacious and newly equipped – all with white boards

30th October - THE KOZMA TRICHKOV SECONDARY SCHOOL – VRATSA CELEBRATES ITS PATRON”S FEST
As one of the oldest Vratsa’s schools The Kozma Trichkov Secondary is preparing for celebrating through various activities for a week: Festive class in each grade; various competitions – Pictures taking – My school; essays writing about Bulgarian leaders of the National Revival; Outstanding Vratsa’s musicians, different sports events, etc… The school authorities and teachers are inviting former students, all present students, their parents, outstanding people from Vratsa and citizens to be present at our fest. There will be: - a ceremony with a priest – at 9.30; - laying wreaths in front of the Bulgarian leaders of the National Revival monuments at 10; - Gala at The Razvitie Hall at 10.30. In honour of the Fest students from the 6th grade with Ms M. Terziyska and Mr L. Draychev fulfilled a project “ Is it worth being a Kozma Trichkov student? next.......
The Kozma Trichkov Secondary succeeded the first social institution opened in 1822 by Sava Ognyanovich.
Here students from 5th to 12th grade are educated distributed in 18 classes.
5th to 8th grade students are taught according to the Ministry of Education obligatory programme and there are additional subject student can choose.
9th to 12th grade students are taught through up-to-date modern programmes in Technological Profile and are prepared for work in business and tourism fields due to the need of such specialists in our area.
