Lots of students were included into the new interactive and team work also mobile groups. It helps adopt practical abilitiess, improve language skills and use free time according their interests. VISIT TO DENMARK The program included a visit to the museum of Hans Christian Andersen in Odense. Great impression made the little-known fact that popular story-teller who traveled much round the world visited Bulgaria in 1841 . ******************************************************************************************************************************************** TRAINING ON MANAGEMENT OF EDUCATION _______________________________________________________________________________________________________________ *************************************************************************************************************************** 4-11 October, 2009 the Principal Mrs Borcheva took part in the National Institute for Principals’ education project “ Leaders and managers’ skills development. The mobility visit is according to the Leonardo Programme in London. The education programme was lead by The Learning and Skills Improvement Service / LSIS/ - second biggest in Great Britain organization servicing the sphere of education and leaders. The visit gave Mrs Borcheva useful information on experience in the management of education field, innovation ideas on education and managing schools, systems for professional consultations and educating, modules from the programmes for novice and future school Principals – there were new elements in content of her field of work, leadership, management and organization in education. New materials and experience gathered also and new contacts established will be useful in our future work especially according to the new module of Career Development for Bulgarian teachers and new titles as Senior Teacher, Methodologist, Vice Principal, and Principal. Our school has a motto: “A school with traditions looking forward to the future”.
INTERNATIONAL
At the end of November a delegation from the Kozma Trichkov Secondary School - Nelly Borcheva – Principal; Tsetsa Ivanova - Bulgarian language and literature teacher and Nelly Daneva - English teacher was on a visit to Denmark, where participated in the first meeting of partners working on the project "The magic of literature makes friends", developed under the "Lifelong Learning" Sub Comenius Programme. The idea is partners from eight European countries - Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, France and Sweden - to represent an author of 20 centuries of their country. Bulgaria will present Emilian Stanev with his novel "The Peaches Thief.
Besides making important decisions concerning the implementation of project activities during the working visit, the participants presented their countries and schools. Hosts from the school in the Danish town Stenlil also presented their author - local writer Jasper Vung-Sung and his work. Students acted a drama of his works, arranged exhibitions of paintings on his stories. Very exciting was the encounter with the author, who was pleased to be taken a photo with the Bulgarian group.
Teachers from the elite Vratsa’s school returned full of ideas and now are planning workshop, which will host partners in autumn next year.

On the eve of the new school year, the Director of the School "Kozma trichkov-Vratza Nelly Borchev passed training on" Managing People and Quality in Education "at the prestigious Bell Teacher Campus of Homerton College, Cambridge, The UK within the Qualifications framework of individual activity - Comenius Programme under the "Lifelong Learning Programme".
Course topics included the following topics and highlighed management of the school as an organization and staff , support, guidance and control, planning of vocational and career development, communication, consultation and decision making, change management, conflict resolution, monitoring, control and assessment, self assessment and feedback, setting standards to ensure quality education service, customer service, educational curiculum, marketing and PR, etc.. During the classes students - school directors and managers of educational institutions from different countries of Europe, Asia and South America were not listeners only, they worked in groups and solved cases, shared opinions and ideas and experience, participated in workshops.
"This joint training activity and during and promotional materials’ also the additional sources of information given to every participant and interactive teaching methods have helped greatly to improve my personal professional competence. Shared experience and innovative ideas will contribute to improving the school management, as a result the quality of the educational process and the organization as a whole will be improved. I contacted colleagues from different countries and new ideas were born - ideas for partnerships and joint activities. "- said Mrs. Borcheva.
